An independent app studio in Vancouver.
Novix Technology Inc. has been building native mobile apps since 2015 — from a Persian dictionary that works with no connection, to daily devotionals read by tens of thousands of people, to small utilities that do one thing without fuss.
Software that gets out of the way.
Everything Novix ships is a native iOS app, free to download, and built to be useful on the day you need it rather than every day. Some are reference tools people keep for years — dictionaries that work with no connection, because a word you cannot look up is a word you do not have. Others are read in a few quiet minutes each morning. A couple are small utilities that do one thing and then get out of the way.
What they have in common is the approach rather than the subject: native rather than cross-platform, offline wherever it is possible, and no feature that exists only to fill a comparison table. We would rather ship something narrow that works every time than something broad that mostly does.
The full catalog — what each app does, what it costs, and where to get it — lives on the home page.
What that adds up to.
Verified against the App Store on 25 August 2026 by aggregating every app id across 51 storefronts — not read off a marketing page.
Small team. Long-lived apps.
Novix is a small studio, which shapes how we build rather than what: native rather than cross-platform, offline where it matters, and no feature that exists only to fill a comparison table. That approach is the constant — the subjects change as we find problems worth solving. Several of these apps have been maintained for the better part of a decade; the oldest still on the store shipped in early 2016.
